Jane Ash Poitras “Aliens and Shaman” New Works May 23- June 4
Join us Saturday, May 23 for the opening exhibition “Aliens and Shamans”, an exhibition of new mixed media paintings. There are many similarities among the many pictographs and petroglyphs found on rock walls and in caves around the world. Some of them feature biped creatures similar to modern depictions of extraterrestrial aliens. There are those who believe that such aliens are the initial source of the knowledge, wisdom and powers passed on to today by succeeding generations of shamans.
This exhibition runs in conjunction with Jane Ash Poitras newest accolade, receiving an Honorary Doctor of Letters (DLitt) Degree from the University of Alberta at Convocation Ceremonies on June 3rd.
Jane Ash Poitras will be in attendance between 1 and 4 PM. The exhibition continues until June 4.
