Praying for Humanity
The Gallery is pleased to present “Praying for Humanity” New Works by Simone McLeod.
“When I first began to paint, I saw my paintings as prayers, prayers to guide people to feel more human and more humane. I use the Seven Teachings as a guide in my works; Honesty, Humility, Courage, Love, Wisdom, Truth and Respect. When followed, these teachings bring us to a better understanding of how to live harmoniously in this world. When I finish a piece. I make sure the title is written on the front of the canvas as a little prayer. The words are there to remind us of what we might need to find peace.” -Simone McLeod
Opening reception Saturday April 23 with the artist in attendance from 2 – 4 PM
