HONOUR SONG – A Collection of New Works By

Dianne Meili,
John Rombough &
David Williams

November 15 – 26

DIANNE MEILI – On a clay story bowl, we see beloved medicine man Albert Lightning singing to a bison in the Rocky Mountains. Colour abounds in each and every piece, while the wise faces of the animals on Dianne’s jars and sculptures suggest true power and signify the long relationship humans have enjoyed with animals.

JOHN ROMBOUGH – Eagles watch, buffalo run and horses rear on canvas by John Rombough.   “I’m always interested in the creative process, expressing my use of colors on canvas. I always think about the spirit within, and all the animals we share the land with.  On the land I’m more at ease, taking in all the beauty.  I feel a part of my Dene Ancestor’s land.”

DAVID WILLIAMS – The fine lines, encircling and pulling together the elements of each painting, are meant to say; “life goes in circles … life is simple”.  The most effective moments in David’s paintings happen when two animals or two environments (life above and below) connect.
