Ronnie Simon
Ronnie is a self-taught wildlife artist who started painting at a young age. Growing up in Fort McPherson, NT, his inspiration comes from the land. Ronnie's understanding of the anatomy of wildlife, along with his attention to detail, result in highly realistic paintings that leave the viewer questioning if they are actually three dimensional images.
Ronnie prefers to portray wildlife and birds in their habitat. Using acrylic paints as his medium, he recreates the beauty, strength and serenity of the natural world.
His work has been shown in the Great Northern Arts Festival’s summer and winter shows. He was also a featured artist at the Café Gallery in Inuvik, NT.
