Dianne Meili
Dianne has been “playing in the mud” for over five years, creating pottery that begs to be picked up and touched. Dianne is a Cree Metis artist who sculpts and decorates bowls and vessels intended to make the beholder feel a connection between themselves, the Creator and living things. She spends hours shaping and carving each piece.
There is a true symbiosis between Dianne and her medium. She is both respectful of, and thankful to, the powers that allow her to share her creative talents. In exchange, it seems she has been rewarded with clay that holds her intensely animated shapes. The glazes, through the firings, give a unique finish to her spiritual vessels.
